A traditional form of residential architecture found most often in the Deep South and in river cities like New Orleans, Louisville, and St. Louis, shotgun houses are uncommon in Michigan.
Well, Traverse City may very well have the northernmost one of all right here on 12th Street. This gorgeous 800 square foot dwelling was built in 1940 and appears to have been lovingly cared for over the years.
Want to see a truly unique architectural style in our region? Check it out on the south side of 12th Street.
