One of my favorite buildings in Traverse City is the magnificent City Opera House on the south side of Front Street just east of Union Street. It was built in 1891 and currently seats 710 patrons on the upper floors of the structure, while retail tenants occupy the street frontage. This beautiful Victorian-era structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. Fully restored, the City Opera House holds shows and events throughout the year. As the photo below from Trip Advisor shows, the interior is just as impressive as the exterior.
